Hotel & Restaurant Management



The title “hospitality manager” refers to supervisory and management positions within the hotel and restaurant industries. Hospitality managers often start their management careers in entry-level positions before advancing to higher-level positions. HRM students may complete a Certificate in Hotel & Restaurant Management or an Associate of Arts degree for Transfer.  The college has partnered with Northern Arizona University to offer a 2 + 2 program whereby Pima students may complete an entire four- year degree in hospitality administration from Northern Arizona University.


Associate of Arts

Learn basic principles of hotel and restaurant management while completing lower-division required courses for a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. 


Career Options: Seek entry-level employment in hotel or restaurant management

Academic Options:  Complete a bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management in Tucson through a partnership with NAU. Completion of required program courses, including AGEC-A requirements, allows students to waive 12 upper-division liberal studies courses upon transfer to NAU.

Work in the resort, hotel or restaurant industry while completing an entry level certificate that provides an introduction to hotel & restaurant management.


Career Options:  Entry-level employment in hotel or restaurant management.

Academic Options:  Continue taking courses toward an Associate Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.
