Armando Trujillo directed the Hotel & Restaurant Management program for Pima Community College as well as the Northern Arizona University program in Tucson. He lives in Tucson, Arizona. His degrees are from the University of Arizona.
Armando is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He worked in the restaurant industry managing several chain and independent operations. He entered the academic field as a teacher of English, history, and ESL for Tucson Unified School District.
Armando teaches course for NAU and for Pima Community College. In addition, he also writes curriculum for new courses and programs for the college and the university.
Armando is a member of several local and national associations that represent the industry. He is a past board member of the SALARA, the Southern Arizona Lodging and Resort Association, and a member of the Arizona Restaurant Association. As the past academic representative for Pima College and Northern Arizona University he supports the community by assisting organizations with consulting requests and by developing hospitality management training presentations for businesses.
He also taught teachers pursuing their master’s degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education for Northern Arizona University. Armando’s final assignment in K-12 education was starting and directing the Hispanic Studies Department for TUSD.
